Welcome to the age of bigger big government. There’s no stopping it now. Congress has come to an agreement to re-open the government from the shutdown that wasn’t and raise the debt ceiling leaving the democrats signature power grab untouched. They claim to live to fight another day but the fight is over. Obamacare is here to stay.
The major consensus among the beltway republicans is that Obamacare is a “train wreck” that will collapse on it’s own. But when? In a year when more Americans have lost the coverage they had and have been forced onto the exchanges? In a year after hundreds of thousands or millions more have been laid off or moved to part time employment? In a year when there are less doctors due to many retiring early rather than dealing with the new regulations or when less young people decide to join the profession because it’s less profitable?
Indeed Obamacare will collapse. It’s designed to but only after it destroys the health care system and the middle class worker as it does. But what then? The only thing that can be. Single payer government health care. “The system is broke. The government must act to end this health care crisis” will be the call to action. The goal will have been achieved. This was the last possible time to stop socialized medicine and they know it. We are wards of the state from cradle to grave. Some will have a loving mother. Others will be the red headed step child.
Which will you be and how do you know?
